Richard Hanley Jaeckel (October 10, 1926 – June 14, 1997) was a famous actor who portrayed Al Gibson in the pilot episode of Season 1 and Ben Edwards from 1991-1994.
He was also best known for his Western and Army movies and died at the age of 70 after a three-year battle with melanoma cancer. He was married to Antoinette Helen Marches till her death in 1994 with Alzheimer's disease and have two sons former touring PGA golfer Barry Jaeckel and Richard Jaeckel Jr.
