Donna Marco is a character in Baywatch and it's spin-off Baywatch Nights.
Physical Appearance[]
Donna was an beautiful, athletic young woman in her mid-twenties with shoulder length blonde hair and blue eyes.
She was 165 cm (5'5") in height and 50 kg (110 lbs) in weight.
Donna was also a head-turner, but she tried her hardest not to let it affect her work, especially since she was well known for her past modelling career.
Personality[]
Donna was calm and caring and did not give up fulfilling her dreams which included being a lifeguard. She also had strong opinions and wasn't afraid to speak her mind when she was fighting for a justly cause. Her closest friend was Jordan Tate.
She was dedicated and hardworking who enjoyed her job and was partly embarrassed of her past as she was afraid it would ruin her credibility as a lifeguard. This was shown in one episode where it was revealed she had previously often appeared in Bikini contests and was now being blackmailed by a contestant of the Miss Malibu Beach Bikini Contest but Mitch assured her that what she had done previously didn't affect her contributions to the team (The Contest).
Her credibility was challenged again when Captain Sam Thomas found out that she was working another job as a glamour model, resulting in Donna's suspension, which she considered unfair as not all the facts had been taken into account. However Sam later decided that what she did outside of work shouldn't affect what she did for the team and after talking to the chief, Donna was reinstated (Buried).
Skills and Abilities[]
Donna was extremely athletic, an accomplished swimmer and expert in rescuing techniques, which made her a excellent lifeguard.
Her great performance as a lifeguard resulted in her taking part in the Junior Lifeguard program and training new recruits.
Baywatch Nights[]
Season 1[]
Donna first appears as the new owner of the Nights club and helps Mitch and his team solve mysteries. She then sells the club deciding to be a lifeguard. She trains hard and passes Rookie School with flying colours.

Donna gets suspended when she is revealed to be working a second job as a glamour model for Playboy Magazine, but is later reinstated (Buried).

- After Baywatch Nights was cancelled, the character was later carried over to the original Baywatch series afterwards.
- Despite her main appearance in the series, Donna is hardly seen in the water and has only done a few rescue scenes. It was revealed that the actress couldn't swim and suffered from Aquaphobia. Donna D'Errico said this in an interview with Fox News:
“The only thing I had to do was pass a swim test, except I couldn’t swim. I had a serious water phobia. I couldn’t even tread water. The ‘Baywatch’ swim coach asked me, ‘You could swim right?’ I said, ‘Of course!’ I lied. You get to be part of the most-watched show in the world, it was the opportunity of a lifetime. And here I am, knowing full well, that I cannot swim. It was all supposed to be basic stuff, nothing technical. But all I kept thinking was, ‘What the heck am I supposed to do?’ I still showed up at 5 a.m. I was told, ‘Get in the pool, do a couple of laps to warm up.’ Here I am holding onto the edge like a terrified child. And he’s like, ‘Donna, what are you doing?’ Go do a couple of laps. It’s freezing in there.’ I couldn’t let go. I was going to sink. And finally, he’s like, ‘Donna, get out of the pool. You can’t swim.’ To this day, I still can’t swim. I’m terrified of water. I can’t even tread water.”
The producers were informed about Donna's inability to swim as swimming was one of the main requirements of playing the role of a lifeguard, but she was determined not to miss out. Donna went through several swimming lessons with the swim coach at the same pool where she had failed the previous swim test, even using fins to help her. She took part in another swim test, only to fail again. Finally after taking more swimming lessons, she tried again and just barely passed it.
- Donna is the second lifeguard to nearly lose her job due to posing for pin-up photos. The first was Shauni McClain. However unlike Donna who did it willingly, Shauni was tricked by a photographer on the beach and her photo was added to a pin-up calendar against her wishes.
